After my first night in Auckland where I crashed in my bed at 8pm... No way I could stay more up. Next morning, I woke up at 6am, makes sense. :)

I debated on two islands to go to in Auckland: Rangitoto or Waiheke. After talking to few people, I decided to go to Rangitoto via a ferry. It wasn't the best weather ever but it didn't rain and that's what I was hoping. I took some nice pictures from the summit of the island. The amazing thing is that since it's winter in New Zealand, there are basically ..... almost no one on the trail. It's so nice. Rangitoto used to be a volcano and there are some volcano cave. I walked inside one and I wasn't all confident about it :).

Coming back from the island, I had few hours before meeting with some friends from Engineering School who are leaving in Auckland (or the suburb). I went to the mont Eden where I had an other nice view of Auckland. Quite a small city compare to London. On my way down, I saw some school students, all with a uniform. It was funny to see that it's still in place especially coming from France.

I spend the rest of the day hanging with my roommates in the YHA hostel. I got a lot of nice tips on New Zealand and stuff to do or not do. Next step, rent the car and the road trip will start.

See you fellahs
