An other day for an other adventure. Wake up at 5am. Tom, my bus driver, took me to the Tongariro Village. We stoped on the way to pick up to more people. It took us 1h to go there where we met the rest of the group. We were 10 in total. They gave us all the gears: crampons, axe pic, and helmet. Ready to go.

To explain more, the tongariro Alpine Crossing is a trail between two montains. It's a volcano that is still active and most of you have seen it in a movie that starts to be well known ... The Lord of the Ring. You know when Frodo goes to the mountain to throw the ring in the volcano, that's the mountain I climbed. It wasn't that hard, what a pu.... that Frodo ;). Actually, we got into a cloud at the top and it's started to be pretty cold (-10 degres). Funny thing, we stopped for lunch where some of the heat is comming out from the volcano and no kidding, my ass was literraly on fire. I had to stand up. It was funny to experience the difference between cold and warmth.

This trail was long but how the british says: Brilliant. You have to do it. I heard in summer it's just a line of people climbing and it kills it a bit but in winter, you are by yourself. The pictures will talk by themself. It reminds me a little about the hike I did in Scotland when I got stuck in a blizzard :D.

Just to sum up, Bref, I have been in Mordor.
