Hello followers :)

Did you miss me? I havent posted for so long ..... not really. jajajaj (I am learning spanish so I need to laugh in spanish for my next trip in South America).

I spent a full day in Christchurch before leaving for Mont Cook that I am calling Rabbit Land because it's impressive the number of rabbit around here.

First Christchurch... there has been a big earthquake few years ago and this city suffered a lot from it. It's impressive the number of building that are in construction, the number of spaces with nothing, the cathedrale in ruins and a temparory one in cardboard, a church outside, a mall with containers, etc, etc...

It's not a big city but I like the vibe from it. I walked all day long. Little coffee on the morning, morning walk near the river, lunch at a japanese restaurant, and walk in the park with nap under the sun during the afternoon. What could you ask for more??? Yeah, a bottle of wine would have been nice, agreed. I ended the day by going to the cinema to see Valerian. As my brother told me, it's not the movie of the year but visually ... woaaaaaaaw. The special effects are amazing. Good night of sleep before the 4h drive next morning to Rabbit Land.

I left early around 8am. I took the highway, got a breakfast at a gas station and keep going west toward the inner land. What a drive... You could see all the NZ Alpes with the snow. Such a sight. I was amazed. Rain started to fall at some point but stopped when I arrived at lake Tekapo where the view was beautiful. If you have see the lord of the rings, I was driving through the movie and the landscape from the two towers in the Rohan.

I ended around 12pm at Mont Cook where I had a quick lunch before a 4h-5h hikes. On my way to the lunch, what did I see near the walkway ... yeah, you won't believe it .... two ... rabbits (I told you, Rabbits Land). Lunch wasn't too bad. I took the soup of the day (yeah I am on a diet :) ) and it was carots with coconut water. "WTF coconut!!!" I told the waitress (not exactly) and she swore it was good. It was actually delicious. After diggesting this soup and some french fries, while reading my book, I decided to start the walk. There was a few drops of water there and there. Nothing alarming. Few kilometres down the line, it started pouring and I stopped carring about staying dry. I didn't know what to expect at the end of the hike but then I found out after 2h30... See below... a glacier. It was am ... wait for it ... mazing. Yeah this word again. Everything is amazing here.

On my way down, I took an other way to go back to the village and then I started to spot them. The army of the rabbits. They were everywhere. One, two, tres, cuatro, (et oui je parle plusieurs langues), cinq, six, sieben, archt, ...... mille un, one thousand and two, ... I think you get it. Here is a picture of some of them.

After all those adventures, I had a quite night: sauna, shower, dinner and an episode of The Peaky Blinders that I started to watch. It's ... yeah, I will say it again, AMAZING. You should watch it guys. Alright, good night folks, I will probably see some rabbits :).

Cheers,
