Hi guys,

I haven't published for some times. I was doing the heliski and then flying to Cairns.

First of all, the heliski was AMAZING. I have some videos and I will try to upload them online. It was magical. I was with two other couples and the guide. We were going for four runs but after one run, we asked if we could update it to 7. It was THAT good. The snow was the best one I have ever tested with a snowboard. I was just floating on a cloud of powder. What a delightful sensation. Lunch on the middle of the montain with no one around, just us and our marks on the snow. It's funny to take an helicopter, it's so smooth that you don't feel anything going up and down.

Next day, I relaxed around the lake and then travelled to Cairns in Australia where I met with Laura. We spent four days together that were amazing. We met at the airport, took the car from one of her friend who came to Cairns few days before from Brisbane and I am going to be the one driving it back to Brisbane; a win-win.

First thing we did, we went to the Skyrail to visit the tropical forest. It was quite impressive. I didn't think I will find a tropical forest there. We were riding the longest gondola in the world and then took the train back through the forest. It took us around 5hours to do all that with a lunch in a village in the middle of the forest with Kangoroo and Crocodile on the menu.

Then, we did the best thing ever: we took a boat from Cairns to the Great Barrier Reef where we spent two days and one night on a boat to dive. We did exactly six dives with one at night. I saw some sea turtles, sharks, Nemos, Doris, other fishes and plenty other stuff. It was one of the best experience of this holiday. I didn't think I will have so much fun diving. We ate a lot as well on the boat ahahah. See pictures below.

After that splendid experience, we were surprised by a parade in Cairns and a firework that was quite impressive for the size of the city. We visited the next day the botanical garden and went to some falls. Unfortunately, we took the wrong road and end up walking 40mins downhill and then uphill to go to the falls where there was a parking lot 10mins walking distance from there :). Since Laura had to take her flight back to Brisbane, we didn't stay much but still enjoyed it. One stop at the hostel for shower and a beer before she left. I spent a quite night at the hostel and left the next morning for Townville.

Next step: Magnetic Island.
